You see that girl over there?
I used to know her
Was my best friend
My everything
Just for a while
My light in the dark
My shelter in the rain
That sort of thing
Found each other at the bottom of the holes we’d dug
Her pale beauty was almost shocking
Like wilted petals on a dieing rose

We discussed her woes
“How could such a horror come to pass?”
Neither of us could find an answer
But just asking the question seemed to help
She listened to my woes
Listened more then I thought anyone could
Absorbing all she could

I suppose it was inevitable that I’d dig too deep
Friendship never seems to be enough
Even when that’s all there is
But then that’s another story
Funny now
When I see her I don’t know what to feel
To hate he is pointless
Especially when it is my fault
And what’s the point of hating her when she will never know
Just reeks of immaturity
I can’t quite get myself to forgive her outright
After all the pain I bought from her
An addict always blames their dealer
And to forget her is obviously pointless
As well as being impossible
So for now I’m stuck in this limbo
Though I’ve no desire to clear the air
To say that ‘I’m past caring’ sounds so negative and false
But it stems not from spite or hate
But from happiness
I’ve finally moved on
As untruthful as it sounds
For once it is no lie
Whether you believe me or not is up to you
I’m just happy where I am

So now when I see her
As smile forms inside
And I whisper the only words I want her to hear
Thank you
:)
woo closure go me
pretty self explanatory, probably not the final poem about this, but it is the final feeling.

(and yes it does need a smiley at the end lol)
